On the morning of October 25, 2023, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, John Lee Ka-Chiu, announced his second Policy Address during his term. The report introduced a new 'Capital Investor Immigration Scheme' in Hong Kong. Qualified investors who invest HKD 30 million or more in assets such as stocks, funds, and bonds (excluding real estate) will be able to apply for entry into Hong Kong through this scheme. The program is set to launch in mid-2024 and will begin accepting applications.
